Our alliance demonstrates the banking sector’s commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities. The agreement includes the transfer of educational materials from UCI and Prodis for the AEB Foundation’s volunteer programme, focused on improving personal autonomy and society’s well-being.

The banking sector and Correos bring cash closer to rural areas

Two years ago, the banking industry signed a General Collaboration Protocol with Correos to facilitate financial inclusion in sparsely populated areas of Spain. This agreement makes the Correos Cash service available to the sector, allowing for cash withdrawals and deposits through more than 4,600 service points and 6,000 rural mail carriers providing home delivery. Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their place of residence, has access to cash, as is the case for Angelines.

We celebrated the 2nd Banking Games: 450 employees from eleven institutions compete in 7 disciplines

We have celebrated the second edition of our Banking Games! An event that brings together sport and teamwork, promoted by AEB to encourage physical activity and camaraderie. Nearly 450 employees enjoyed a day of healthy competition at the Golf Santander & Sports sports facilities in Boadilla del Monte. Participants were able to strengthen ties with colleagues from their own bank and meet peers from other institutions during a tournament featuring seven disciplines: football, swimming, golf, X-fit, padel, relay race and pétanque. Our President, Alejandra Kindelán, opened the awards ceremony, in which Santander, BBVA and Bankinter took the podium. Bank employees have been teaching financial education in schools for 10 years

We would like to thank all the bank employee volunteers for bringing financial education closer to young people. A great team that this year has been joined by senior executives from various institutions to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the financial education programme ‘Your Finances, Your Future’, which we run from the Spanish Banking Association together with the Junior Achievement Spain Foundation. 70,000 young people have benefited from this programme since it was launched in 2014, thanks to the 5,000 banking sector employees who have visited schools across Spain to help them develop healthy financial habits.
