Our Chairwoman Alejandra Kindelán highlights the banking sector's commitment to financial inclusion, following a meeting of banking associations with the Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo. During the meeting, progress in financial inclusion in rural areas was confirmed through the latest measures implemented as part of the banking sector's 'Roadmap,' which have benefited 322,000 people and 889 additional municipalities. Spain has the second densest branch network in Europe, with nearly 84,000 contact points available to citizens. Furthermore, over 80% of citizens state they have no difficulty accessing banking services and that banking is one of the services that has improved the most in the last year.
