The banking sector adapts to the new law supporting people with disabilities
Spanish legislation has been adapted, through Law 8/2021, to the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Previously, decisions for these individuals were made by others, but now their will and preferences are respected and, as a general rule, they will make their own decisions. In this context, the collaboration of banks is key to ensuring that access to financial services for people with disabilities guarantees their financial autonomy.
