We are part of the Financial Education Plan, an initiative of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business. The objective is to improve citizens’ financial literacy by providing them with basic knowledge and the necessary tools to manage their finances responsibly and in an informed manner.

The president of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), Alejandra Kindelán, today highlighted the progress made in the area of financial inclusion following a meeting between industry representatives and First Vice President and Minister of Economy Carlos Cuerpo.

99.4% of the population in Spain has access to in-person banking services in their municipality

Financial inclusion is making progress in Spain, which now has more than 83,900 physical access points to banking services, covering 99.4% of the population.
