The Secretary General of the Spanish Banking Association, Mr. Pedro Pablo Villasante, has today submitted his resignation to the AEB General Council in order to pursue new professional challenges.
Upon accepting the resignation, the Council expressed its gratitude to Pedro Pablo Villasante for his dedication and the effective service he has provided to the Association over the last nine years. In any event, he will remain at the disposal of the President of the Association until October 1 to facilitate, as necessary, an appropriate transition.
Furthermore, the General Council has agreed to the appointment of Mr. Javier Rodríguez Pellitero, current Deputy Secretary General and Head of Legal Services at the AEB, as the new Secretary General of the Association.
Within the framework of the new organizational chart attached, the Council has also agreed to appoint Mr. David Martín López, current Advisor to the Presidency, as Director General of the AEB.
