Today, the AEB General Council has unanimously agreed to accept the candidacy of Mr. José María Roldán Alegre, submitted in accordance with Article 16 of the Bylaws by consensus of the Association’s five largest banks, to succeed Mr. Miguel Martín as Chairman of the AEB for a four-year term.
Mr. José María Roldán meets all the necessary legal requirements. The Secretary of State for the Economy has been duly informed of the proposal in advance.
Consequently, the General Council will submit the aforementioned appointment to the AEB General Assembly to be held on April 22.
