The ‘Alcanza Awards’ recognize the promotion of financial education and digital training

The Spanish Banking Association (AEB) Foundation has today presented the ‘Alcanza Awards’ to highlight the banking sector’s commitment to financial education and digital literacy. It thus recognizes projects that provide society with tools to manage their finances and address economic and social challenges, with a special emphasis on groups requiring greater support.
The non-profit organizations Nantik Lum, Nuevo Futuro, and Grandes Amigos are the three winners of this first edition in the categories of inclusion and people with disabilities; youth and children; and seniors, respectively, each receiving a prize of 10,000 euros.
More than 4,100 citizens receive training in secure digital banking thanks to the collaboration between Somos Digital and the AEB Foundation

‘My Digital Banking: Easy and Secure’ is a nationwide online banking training project aimed at all citizens, which has successfully trained 4,100 people through more than 450 activities in 260 locations, primarily in rural areas. The training was conducted through Digital Competence Centers and the trainers and mentors from the Somos Digital networks.
Expertclick provides free access to the Internet and digital tools to over 1,200 seniors.

Expertclick is now in its sixth edition, offering free workshops on the use of the Internet and digital tools for seniors. This program, promoted by the Cibervoluntarios Foundation and the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Social Rights and 2030 Agenda, aims to train individuals over 55 years old across Spain in basic digital skills. These include mobile phone usage, communication and leisure applications, digital health, online banking, and e-government.
AEB Foundation and Somos Digital facilitate the use of digital banking

The President of the Spanish Banking Association and the AEB Foundation, Alejandra Kindelán, and the President of the Somos Digital Association and Director of Telecommunications and Digital Administration of Castilla y León, Antonio Ibáñez, signed a collaboration agreement today to promote the use of secure digital banking, accompanied by the Minister of Mobility and Digital Transformation of Castilla y León, María González Corral.
