In a context of high digitalization and a growing perception of the risk associated with cyberattacks, Spaniards trust banking entities to protect them against digital scams. Banking entities are the best-prepared institution and generate the most trust among Spaniards of all ages to protect their personal data, with a score of 7.1 out of 10, ahead of the State Security Forces and Bodies, technology companies, or Public Administrations.

The Madrid City Council and the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its Foundation have reached a collaboration agreement to promote financial and digital education for citizens, and to foster training in cybersecurity.
