Over 60,000 students receive financial education from banking employee volunteers

More than 60,000 secondary school students have received financial education through ‘Your Finances, Your Future’, a program promoted by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its Foundation, in collaboration with the Junior Achievement Foundation, which is now in its ninth edition and is deployed in classrooms at educational centers throughout Spain. This program is the result of the long-term commitment of AEB and its member banks to awaken in young people the importance of financial education in their lives and of continuous training in this area, for proper decision-making and the development of skills that foster responsible and healthy financial behaviors.

Madrid City Council and AEB join forces to promote cybersecurity and financial education
The Madrid City Council and the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its Foundation have reached a collaboration agreement to promote financial and digital education for citizens, and to foster training in cybersecurity. The Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and the President of the AEB and its Foundation, Alejandra Kindelán, have signed this agreement, which includes the transfer of AEB audiovisual content to the City Council and strengthens collaboration between the parties.

The General Assembly of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) has unanimously agreed today to elect Alejandra Kindelán as President of AEB for a four-year term, replacing José María Roldán, who in April 2021 announced his decision not to seek a third term at the head of the Association.
