Financial and Digital Classroom
The Spanish Banking Association (AEB), CECA and the National Union of Credit Cooperative Societies (UNACC) present the new web platform “Financial and Digital Classroom”. This site has been created to facilitate access to the knowledge and skills that enable everyone to make decisions about their finances with a higher level of information, operate across all available environments and channels, and make use of the available tools to improve their financial health.
Financial Education Program ‘Your Finances, Your Future’
The financial education program ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ was created by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) in collaboration with the Junior Achievement Foundation in 2015. It is delivered by volunteer employees from AEB member banks, who teach three one-hour sessions to students aged 13 to 15.

The General Assembly of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) has unanimously agreed today to elect Alejandra Kindelán as President of AEB for a four-year term, replacing José María Roldán, who in April 2021 announced his decision not to seek a third term at the head of the Association.
Women in Banking is launched to promote the role of women in Spanish banking
Women in Banking (WIB), an initiative dedicated to promoting the role of women in Spanish banking, held its launch event today at Banco Santander’s Ciudad Financiera. WIB was publicly introduced with the support of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its founding banks: Santander, BBVA, Sabadell, ING, Deutsche Bank, Citi, and BNY Mellon.
Banks strengthen personalised service for older people with new measures
We met with the Platform for Older People and Pensioners to convey the banking sector’s commitment to continue improving service for senior citizens through a wide range of measures to strengthen personalised care for this group, which requires special attention. At the meeting, its president, Ángel Rodríguez Castedo, and its secretary general, Miguel Ángel Cabra de Luna, spoke with our Director of Public Policy, María Abascal, and our spokesperson, José Luis Martínez, about the Decalogue for Older People agreed by the three banking associations AEB, CECA and Unacc.
The VIII Edition of ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ Kicks Off
Everything is ready to commence the eighth edition of the financial education program ‘Your Finances, Your Future’, organized by AEB and Fundación AEB, in collaboration with Junior Achievement. Banking employees from 20 entities have already received training as volunteers to visit educational centers where they will introduce economic and financial knowledge to students aged 13 to 15. The program, which for the first time will have a hybrid format, takes place between March and April. These are some of the moments from the training of the volunteers from the Spanish Banking Association.
