Banks strengthen personalised service for older people with new measures
We met with the Platform for Older People and Pensioners to convey the banking sector’s commitment to continue improving service for senior citizens through a wide range of measures to strengthen personalised care for this group, which requires special attention. The VIII Edition of ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ Kicks Off

Everything is ready to commence the eighth edition of the financial education program ‘Your Finances, Your Future’, organized by AEB and Fundación AEB, in collaboration with Junior Achievement. Banking employees from 20 entities have already received training as volunteers to visit educational centers where they will introduce economic and financial knowledge to students aged 13 to 15. The program, which for the first time will have a hybrid format, takes place between March and April. Expertclick, the technology school for seniors from the AEB and Cibervoluntarios foundations

Over 2,100 individuals aged 55 and over residing in rural areas have attended Expertclick workshops since its launch in 2018. This technology school offers free training for the use and management of digital tools, applications, and technological services or content related to administrative, health, online banking, or social procedures. It is an initiative that promotes the active participation of older adults in society and, in 2020, was conducted exclusively online due to the health crisis.
CUNEF students present financial education proposals to banking executives

Some 250 CUNEF university students took up the challenge set by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its Foundation to propose projects to improve the level of financial education in Spain, especially among younger people. Of the nearly 60 proposals developed by these students, ten were shortlisted and were presented on 5 March by 40 students at AEB headquarters to executives from various banks and from the Association itself, who served as the jury to choose the winning project.
Bank employees bring financial education to more than 43,600 students

The sixth edition of its financial education programme “Your finances, your future” is under way, thanks to bank employees who volunteer in schools to introduce economic and financial knowledge to students aged 13 to 15. By the end of this edition, more than 43,600 students at secondary schools across Spain will have benefited from workshops delivered by 3,400 volunteers from the banking sector since the programme began in 2015.
