The Spanish Banking Association and the AEB Foundation announce the fourth edition of this prize in recognition of their former Economic Advisor.
The figure and work of Federico Prades will once again be honored by the Spanish Banking Association and the AEB Foundation with the announcement of the fourth edition of the Federico Prades Prize for Young Economists, which carries a 20,000 euro award. Federico Prades, who served as Economic Advisor to the AEB for over 20 years, contributed decisively to laying the foundations of modern economic analysis in Spain.
This Prize aims to incentivize, stimulate, recognize, and reward the research work of young economists on the role of financial institutions in contemporary society.
To be eligible for this prize, researchers must be under 40 years of age as of December 31, 2023, whether applying individually or as part of a team.
The prize will be awarded to a project or research paper that contributes to a better understanding of the contribution of financial institutions to the improvement of the economy and people’s living conditions.
The jury for the Federico Prades Prize for Young Economists will evaluate the quality of the work and the originality of the analysis, both in the proposed topic and the approach taken.
In this fourth edition, the submission period for entries will open on February 29, 2024, and close on September 6, 2024. The decision will be made public during the month of November 2024.
