PSD2: New security measures for payments

Electronic payments already feature high security levels. However, new regulations applicable since September 14 establish that additional elements must occasionally be introduced to verify the customer’s identity. Each bank will inform its customers how Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) will affect banking operations. Banks are working to ensure that the implementation of Strong Customer Authentication maintains an appropriate balance between security and the requirements for ease of use and accessibility in electronic payments.
