“Hello, I’d like to talk to you, but not about travel, studies, partying, or music… I’d like to talk about something important that we all need to know. I’d like to talk about your money.” Paula, a university student, thus launches the new video series on personal finance from the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) in collaboration with CUNEF.
Across five episodes, four students explain basic financial education concepts peer-to-peer to help other young people get started in managing their personal finances and make the most of their money, all in a reasoned manner and without being swayed by impulses.
Learning to manage our money is a very valuable skill that is not always given the importance it deserves. “Because when it comes to your money, you need to know and understand everything to help you make good decisions with it,” explains Fernando. “Learning to manage it will give you power and control over your life. It will turn you into a true CEO of your finances.”
Saving, investing, planning, consumption, and debt are the main topics of ‘Let’s Talk About Your Money’. Current issues such as cybersecurity, cryptocurrencies, and sustainability are also addressed in relation to financial decisions that can contribute to the care of our planet.
The episodes of this new financial education course will be available on the YouTube channel of the Spanish Banking Association. With this new initiative, AEB and its Foundation reaffirm their commitment to familiarizing young people with concepts useful for their daily lives and future.
