Royal Decree-Law 3/2009, of March 27, contains, among other provisions, an amendment to the Insolvency Law clearly aimed at facilitating the viability of companies facing difficulties in the current economic crisis.
Since it sought to adapt insolvency institutions to the problems caused by the rapid deterioration of the Spanish economy, the reform can be considered timely and the use of the Royal Decree-Law appropriate.
