‘Aula Financiera y Digital’, the educational platform promoted by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), CECA, and the National Union of Credit Cooperatives (Unacc) to facilitate access for all individuals and enable them to expand their financial and digital knowledge through the various available channels, has expanded its training offering with 90 new training initiatives, representing a 20% increase.
On its second anniversary, this platform now boasts over 500 initiatives, further deepening the banking sector’s commitment to training all groups through the various available channels. Furthermore, in 2023, the number of in-person attendees at the financial institutions’ various programs increased by 28%, while the number of online activity accesses doubled.
46% of ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’s training offering consists of in-person initiatives, while a quarter of the content comprises immediate-access training tools, such as videos or podcasts. A specific section has also recently been incorporated into the platform to promote knowledge about cybersecurity and prevention, given the generalized increase in cyber scams. Thus, 69% of ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’s content is dedicated to digitalization and cybersecurity.
After two years of activity, ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ has become a unique training space, in line with the commitments adopted in the Strategic Protocol to reinforce the banking sector’s social and sustainable commitment. The platform, which received the “Finanzas para todos” award in 2022, promoted by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, continues to grow to provide all citizens with access to training content in personal finance and digital skills.
