In this first Innovation Camp, aimed at students from the 2015–2016 edition of Tus Finanzas-Tu Futuro, participants faced the challenge of creating and developing the mock-up of a mobile application designed to make it easier to take financial decisions suited to the user’s profile.
This Innovation Camp brought the third edition of the financial education programme Tus Finanzas-Tu Futuro to a close. The programme has been delivered for the third consecutive year by the Spanish Banking Association, Junior Achievement Spain Foundation and AEB Foundation as part of European Money Week.
Nearly 70 students from five schools in Madrid took part in this camp. They worked in teams of five under the guidance of volunteer bank employees and experts in design thinking and mobile app prototyping. At the end of the day, an evaluation committee selected six finalist teams that will go on to compete in the final on 28 March.
With this Innovation Camp, AEB takes a further step in its financial education programme, seeking to enable students from Tus Finanzas-Tu Futuro to put into practice what they learned in the sessions held last year as part of the programme. It also aims for them to do so in an enjoyable and straightforward way by designing a mobile application that encourages healthy financial behaviours among its potential users.
