‘Aula Financiera y Digital’, the educational platform promoted by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), CECA, and the National Union of Credit Cooperatives (Unacc) to foster financial literacy and digital skills for the entire population, is expanding its training offerings in 2025 with 82 new initiatives, videos, and podcasts. This represents a 15% increase compared to last year.
On this third anniversary, the platform increases the total number of training contents offered to over 600. The initiatives featured on the website are broken down by target groups and reference topics; and they come in different formats and various access channels.
Thus, 40% of the initiatives incorporated by ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ are delivered in-person, while a quarter are specifically aimed at vulnerable groups. By topic, one in three initiatives focuses on cybersecurity.
Regarding personal data protection, it marks one year since the launch of ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’s cybersecurity section, which offers practical tips to prevent cyber scams, including a guide, videos, and expert audio. These contents are also offered in the campaign ‘El sector bancario, contigo’ (The banking sector, with you) on major radio stations.
The increase in training programs on the platform reflects the banking sector’s commitment to financial and digital education, ensuring that all individuals can operate securely and confidently across all available channels. According to the latest Finresp data, over 3.5 million people benefited from financial and digital education programs promoted by the sector in 2023.
‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ is a unique training space resulting from the commitments made in the Strategic Protocol to reinforce the social and sustainable commitment of banking. The platform was recognized in 2022 with the “Finanzas para todos” (Finance for All) award, a financial education award promoted by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Enterprise.
