Financial education is essential for all citizens, especially from a very early age. Financial education has been one of the priorities of the Association of Cyprus Banks (ACB) since 2016.
The Association offers educational programs to primary and secondary schools in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Junior Achievement Cyprus. Every year, from February to March, the ACB organizes the ‘More than Money‘ initiative, a financial education program designed for 6th-grade primary school children. At the end of each year, a second program called ‘Economics for Success’ is carried out in secondary schools across the country. Both educational programs are implemented with the help of the Association’s member banks, which provide the necessary funds and staff. Since 2016, the programs have been a complete success, and both teachers and students have expressed their satisfaction with them.
