Regarding the guarantee line incorporated into Royal Decree-Law 8/2020 of March 10, which adopts certain urgent measures in the economic sphere and for the protection of public health, whose conditions were approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers on March 24, the entities associated with AEB, CECA and UNACC are issuing instructions to their branch networks to ensure rigorous application of the content of said agreement. Among other aspects, it has been clarified that the granting of a loan covered by this guarantee line cannot under any circumstances be tied to the contracting of other products.
This measure, which aims to preserve the levels of working capital and liquidity of companies and self-employed individuals, joins other measures that financial institutions are voluntarily implementing to help the real economy address the consequences of the crisis resulting from COVID-19.
