WE ARE COMMITTED TO YOUNG PEOPLE, WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE FUTURE

Our program ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ has now reached its fifth edition, consolidating its commitment to young people and financial education. In the last academic year 2018-2019, a total of 7,057 students from 138 educational centers have benefited from our program, thanks to the work of 587 volunteer employees from 19 banking institutions who have provided students with the financial knowledge necessary for their future.

These five years of ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ would not have been possible without the support and involvement of the collaborating banks which, year after year, have managed to benefit more than 35,800 secondary school students from 43 Spanish provinces, through 1,448 programs delivered by their volunteers.

The Spanish Banking Association, its Foundation and the Junior Achievement Foundation have organized a recognition event this year to acknowledge the dedication of the more than 2,700 volunteer workers from financial institutions who have made our training program possible with their participation throughout this five-year period. Their commitment demonstrates that the banking sector, represented by its employees and volunteers, is fully dedicated to the future of young people.

After the fifth consecutive year, the educational program ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ continues to be a benchmark in financial education, as expressed by the teachers involved, with 100% stating they wish to repeat the program in the next academic year and rating the work of the volunteers in the classroom with a score of 10 out of 10.

This edition comes to an end consolidating the joint commitment to continue supporting our initiative, innovating and improving it, in order to increase its reach to more young people and teachers throughout Spain. The objective of the collaboration between the Spanish Banking Association, AEB Foundation and Junior Achievement Foundation is to promote financial education among young people and encourage them to reflect on financial decision-making. A goal that has been achieved thanks to the collaboration of all the banking institutions participating in the program.
