For the fourth consecutive year, the European Banking Federation celebrates European Money Week, an initiative aimed at promoting financial education in Europe. During this week, held in March, banking associations from various countries that are part of the Federation develop financial education activities specifically aimed at young people and entrepreneurs. These activities include seminars, courses, fairs, and financial education events to impart financial knowledge to citizens and raise awareness among public and private organizations involved in education and finance.
In this context, the AEB has been developing the financial education course ‘Your Finances, Your Future’ for four years, through which volunteer employees from partner banks impart basic knowledge about personal finance to young people from over a hundred schools across Spain. In this fourth edition, banking associations have also joined forces in a common initiative, the European financial education competition, via the online platform Kahoot!, in which secondary school students who are winners of the national final in their respective countries will compete.
