No one now doubts that the Spanish economy is facing serious problems and that its resolution urgently demands a decisive response. It is even acknowledged that the diagnosis was flawed and that some of the measures adopted were not particularly successful.
In any case, the past is behind us, and what is truly important is to rectify the situation and lay the groundwork for a consistent and lasting recovery.
