Mr. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n was elected Vice President of the EBF on May 15, 2015 for a two-year term, renewable for an additional two years, as established by the statutes of the Federation, an organization that brings together the banking associations of 32 countries of the European Union and EFTA. Likewise, the President of the EBF, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Oud\u00e9a, CEO of Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale, has been renewed in this position for another two years. <\/p>\n

Mr. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n has led the AEB since April 2014. He served as Director General of Banking Regulation at the Bank of Spain and member of its Executive Board between 2000 and 2013. During his tenure as Director General, he was a member of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Additionally, Mr. Rold\u00e1n was founder and first chairman of the European Banking Supervision Committee, the precursor to the European Banking Authority (EBA). <\/p>\n
