Assembly, convened for April 12, 2018, the re-election of Mr Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n Alegre as President of the Association for a new four-year term.<\/p>\n<p>The AEB bylaws establish, in Article 16, paragraph 3, that the President of the Association shall be &#8220;presented by consensus by the five banks (*) with the largest volume of assets that have appointed members to the Council&#8221;, and that &#8220;his appointment shall be made by the General Assembly&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>(*) The five banks are Santander, BBVA, Banco Sabadell, Bankinter and Deutsche Bank.<\/p>\n<p><a
