The banking associations will work with the Spanish Association for Digitalisation (DigitalEs) to design concrete actions to curb cyber scams. <\/p>\n<p>AEB, CECA and Unacc have put forward some specific proposals to be considered in this forum: they advocate creating multi-sector collaboration channels that operate swiftly and with standardised protocols to detect fraud patterns, define early warnings and coordinate rapid responses. The associations also highlight the need to strengthen mechanisms for securely sharing data that helps curb cyber scams. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, the banking sector proposes taking action against fraudulent phone numbers and web addresses by creating an official repository of suspicious numbers. This would move forward in line with the Ministerial Order issued at the beginning of the year that bans unsolicited commercial calls from mobile phones and would tighten oversight in this area. They also point to the importance of ensuring the immediate removal of fake adverts on digital platforms.  <\/p>\n<p>The banking associations support assessing regulatory constraints across different sectors in order to combat digital fraud more effectively. Likewise, they reiterated the importance of continuing efforts to raise public awareness of the risks and promote cybersecurity awareness, in collaboration with all economic sectors and public administrations. <\/p>\n<p>This effort is consistent with the four awareness and information campaigns promoted by the banking sector to encourage the safe use of digital platforms, achieving 80 million impressions in their dissemination in just three years. AEB, CECA, Unacc and ASNEF are currently running the campaign &#8216;In the digital world, take the same care&#8217; across media, streaming platforms and social networks. In addition, AEB and CECA regularly broadcast cybersecurity awareness messages on radio under the slogan &#8216;The banking sector, with you&#8217;.  <\/p>\n<p>In this regard, the banking associations reiterated their active commitment to promoting digital skills and financial education as pillars to ensure the safe use of digital tools. In 2023 alone, the sector promoted nearly 13,000 financial and digital training activities tailored to the needs of all groups.
