{"id":38088,"date":"2018-06-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-17T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/actualidad\/notas-de-prensa\/the-aeb-presents-the-national-financial-education-award\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T17:34:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T15:34:12","slug":"the-aeb-presents-the-national-financial-education-award","status":"publish","type":"notas-de-prensa","link":"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/en\/actualidad\/notas-de-prensa\/the-aeb-presents-the-national-financial-education-award\/","title":{"rendered":"The AEB presents the National Financial Education Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Santa Joaquina de Vedruna School in Madrid Receives Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Knowing how to manage your money is a key tool for young people to face the future with more confidence,&#8221; said Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n, President of the Spanish Banking Association, to the students of Santa Joaquina de Vedruna School in Madrid, minutes before presenting them with the 2018 National Financial Education Award.<\/p>\n<p>The 4th-year students from this school received their trophy at the AEB headquarters for winning the competition on financial literacy and cybersecurity, which involved 5,000 students from a hundred secondary schools in the 3rd and 4th years of ESO across Spain, via the <em>Kahoot<\/em> online platform.<\/p>\n<p>Two students from the winning class, Ana and Alejandra, traveled to Brussels to represent Spain in the final of the European competition, which brought together young people aged 13 to 15 from 25 countries last May, coordinated by the European Banking Federation (EBF).<\/p>\n<p>The secondary schools that competed in the national contest participated in the fourth edition of the &#8216;Your Finances, Your Future&#8217; program, a financial education initiative organized by the AEB, with the collaboration of the AEB Foundation and the advice of Junior Achievement, to bring financial reality closer to society and promote the development of healthy financial habits.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s2.aebanca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/la-aeb-entrega-el-premio-nacional-de-educacin-financiera.pdf\">Download the press release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students from Santa Joaquina de Vedruna School in Madrid received the 2018 National Financial Education Award from AEB President Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n at the Association&#8217;s headquarters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":38090,"parent":0,"template":"","etiquetas-prensa":[],"class_list":["post-38088","notas-de-prensa","type-notas-de-prensa","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
