{"id":38021,"date":"2020-03-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/actualidad\/notas-de-prensa\/cunef-students-present-financial-education-proposals-to-banking-executives\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T17:34:58","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T15:34:58","slug":"cunef-students-present-financial-education-proposals-to-banking-executives","status":"publish","type":"notas-de-prensa","link":"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/en\/actualidad\/notas-de-prensa\/cunef-students-present-financial-education-proposals-to-banking-executives\/","title":{"rendered":"CUNEF students present financial education proposals to banking executives"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>A total of 40 students present their projects to banking executives at the AEB headquarters<\/li>\n<li>The jury analyzes the possibilities for practical application of the winning project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Approximately 250 university students from CUNEF accepted the challenge posed by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its Foundation to propose projects aimed at improving the level of financial education in Spain, especially among young people.<\/p>\n<p>Of the nearly 60 proposals developed by these students, ten were selected as finalists and presented on March 5 by 40 students at the AEB headquarters to executives from various banks and the Association itself, who served as judges to choose the winning project.<\/p>\n<p>The president of the AEB, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n, expressed his gratitude for the involvement of the students from this university center in contributing to the work the banking sector has been performing for years regarding financial education, with the goal of instilling healthy financial habits in society.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You are very young and are in an excellent position to understand how we should convey this knowledge, which can be dry and complicated, but is vital for our daily lives,&#8221; Rold\u00e1n stated, after highlighting the creativity and digital focus of the finalist entries.<\/p>\n<p>The project by Adriana Rodr\u00edguez, Roc\u00edo Rubio, Luc\u00eda Robles, and Mar\u00eda del Pilar Villalba, which featured actions such as the creation of a &#8216;school bank,&#8217; videos by &#8216;financial influencers,&#8217; and the configuration of the library as a &#8216;Stock Exchange,&#8217; was the winner of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The jury\u2014composed of banking executives with financial education responsibilities from Santander, BBVA, Bankinter, ING, and Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar, as well as executives from Frontier Economics and the AEB\u2014is now analyzing the possibilities for the practical application of the winning proposal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s1.aebanca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/alumnos-de-cunef-presentan-propuestas-de-educacin-financiera-ante-directivos-de-banca.pdf\">Download the press release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some 250 CUNEF university students took up the challenge set by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and its Foundation to propose projects to improve the level of financial education in Spain, especially among younger people.
