{"id":37930,"date":"2020-12-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-08T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/actualidad\/notas-de-prensa\/expertclick-launches-new-workshops-for-seniors-on-smartphone-and-tablet-use\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T17:36:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T15:36:03","slug":"expertclick-launches-new-workshops-for-seniors-on-smartphone-and-tablet-use","status":"publish","type":"notas-de-prensa","link":"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/en\/actualidad\/notas-de-prensa\/expertclick-launches-new-workshops-for-seniors-on-smartphone-and-tablet-use\/","title":{"rendered":"Expertclick launches new workshops for seniors on smartphone and tablet use"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Throughout December, workshops will be held in rural areas of the Community of Madrid, Aragon, the Valencian Community, Castile and Le\u00f3n, Andalusia, Murcia and the Canary Islands.<\/li>\n<li>Free training for seniors can be requested at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expertclick.org\">expertclick.org<\/a> for the December, January and February workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Cibervoluntarios Foundation and the AEB Foundation, of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), have organised new workshops from their Expertclick digital school for seniors, to be held in December, January and February in rural areas of the Community of Madrid, Aragon, the Valencian Community, Castile and Le\u00f3n, Andalusia, Murcia and the Canary Islands.<\/p>\n<p>This free training programme on the use of new technologies for people aged 55 and over living in rural areas consists of three sessions lasting one and a half hours each, in which participants are taught how to use tools, applications, services and technological content related to administrative, healthcare, online banking or social matters.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition of Expertclick, the training will be delivered exclusively online, following pandemic prevention protocols. They can register <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSf-LkN7Wm-1qXibNxK_QJr5G2DSwGkyk_FAA0vchQLr3sxUWg\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>15, 16 and 17 December from 10:00 to 11:30. <\/p>\n<p>15, 16 and 17 December from 17:00 to 18:30. <\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n, Chairman of AEB and its foundation, states that &#8220;with this initiative we aim to improve seniors\u2019 quality of life by helping them use technology more easily and more frequently for everyday tasks, such as consulting a doctor, accessing financial services or carrying out any other online procedure&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>For Yolanda Rueda, President of the Cibervoluntarios Foundation, &#8220;thanks to these workshops we are promoting the use of technology among seniors to make their lives easier, while encouraging their active participation in social change&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Through the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expertclick.org\">www.expertclick.org<\/a>, any public or private institution\u2014senior or neighbourhood associations, day centres, town councils or institutions representing seniors\u2014can take part in this project.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Survey on Equipment and Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Households by the National Statistics Institute (INE), 9 out of 10 people aged 16 to 74 have used the internet in the last three months, 99.6% of households have a telephone and 91.4% have internet access.
