The Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and the CCOO and UGT trade unions have agreed, within the Collective Bargaining Committee, to a salary improvement that will be applied starting in 2023.<\/p>\n
The agreed improvement will entail a 4.5% increase over the 2022 salary scales, instead of the 1.25% initially foreseen in the Collective Agreement. This means the consolidation of an additional 3.25%, which will begin to be received from next January 1. <\/p>\n
Both parties, with the two signatory trade unions representing 71.38% of union representation, consider the agreement reached to be satisfactory, as it fulfills the objective of helping to mitigate the effect of inflation on sector workers.<\/p>\n
The AEB highlights the value of the agreement and believes that both parties have acted with the responsibility required by the extraordinary socioeconomic circumstances we are facing.<\/p>\n
The decided salary increase is a recognition of the effort and personal commitment of banking sector employees in this exceptional context.<\/p>\n
