The Governor and Deputy Governor of the Bank of Spain, as well as consumer and senior associations, also attended the meeting. <\/p>\n<p>They have also reiterated their commitment to maintain savings passbooks for individuals over 65 years of age.<\/p>\n<p>The annual monitoring report on personalized service for seniors reflects the significant effort made by the banking sector and its firm commitment to financial inclusion, embodied in specific actions, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6.3 million people over the age of 65 have benefited from extended cashier service hours at branches, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, covering 81% of all branches.<\/li>\n<li>2.4 million calls have been handled through a personal manager.<\/li>\n<li>70,000 bank employees have received specific training to offer service better adapted to the elderly.<\/li>\n<li>91% of ATMs and over 80% of websites have been adapted with simplified displays and menus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This meeting is part of the active listening and dialogue process that the banking associations have maintained with senior and consumer associations, as well as with government authorities, to continue improving personalized service.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the banking associations have commissioned a satisfaction survey to measure the level of acceptance of the implemented measures. According to the study conducted by Inmark, over 70% of seniors are satisfied with the banking service received through different channels. <\/p>\n<p>The sector has also presented the quarterly monitoring report on financial inclusion. It shows that over 70,000 residents in 79 municipalities with more than 500 inhabitants in rural Spain who previously did not have physical access to financial services now do. The goal is to achieve 100% financial inclusion by the end of the year.  <\/p>\n<p>To improve awareness of these personalized service measures, the sector has expressed its determination to promote new communication initiatives.
