The Spanish Banking Association (AEB), the AEB Foundation and the ONCE Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to promote actions aimed at improving the financial education of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
The agreement was signed by Alejandra Kindel\u00e1n, Chair of AEB and its foundation, and Jos\u00e9 Luis Mart\u00ednez Donoso, CEO of the ONCE Foundation, who agreed on the importance of ensuring that financial services are accessible and understandable for people with disabilities and, therefore, on the need to promote initiatives such as this agreement to make that possible.<\/p>\n
From this perspective, the agreement seeks to implement measures and promote initiatives aimed at improving the financial education of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
Among these measures, the document cites the launch of financial education workshops for students in the ONCE Foundation\u2019s UniDiversidad Programme, which promotes employment training for people with intellectual disabilities in university settings.<\/p>\n
Likewise, the content of the \u201cInclusive Finance\u201d resource promoted by the ONCE Foundation will be reviewed and updated; its aim is to improve the financial skills of people with intellectual disabilities.<\/p>\n
Lastly, it supports the design of activities aimed at providing people with disabilities with tools and skills that are useful for their financial decision-making.<\/p>\n
