The training was conducted through Digital Competence Centers and the trainers and mentors from the Somos Digital networks. <\/p>\n<p>Alejandra Kindel\u00e1n, president of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and the AEB Foundation, and Antonio Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, president of Somos Digital, reviewed the results of the &#8216;My Digital Banking: Easy and Secure&#8217; project during an event held this morning at the Antonio Mingote Senior Center in Madrid, with the collaboration of the Madrid City Council, a partner entity of Somos Digital that participated in the project. The Mayor of Madrid, Jos\u00e9 Luis Mart\u00ednez-Almeida, closed the event, highlighting the social role of the banking sector. <\/p>\n<p>Kindel\u00e1n emphasized the AEB&#8217;s commitment to digital inclusion: &#8220;It is a priority for us that digital banking is accessible and secure for everyone, especially for those who are not very familiar with technology. This project has allowed us to bring digital banking services closer to thousands of citizens who can now operate with autonomy and security.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This project has fulfilled its objective of providing citizens with the knowledge and confidence necessary to use digital banking services in their daily lives,&#8221; stated Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez. &#8220;In-person workshops, online training activities, and personalized advice were offered,&#8221; he added. <\/p>\n<p>For the Mayor of Madrid, this program is extraordinarily important because it &#8220;brings digitalization closer to the elderly.&#8221; In this regard, Mart\u00ednez-Almeida expressed his gratitude for &#8220;the economic work of the banking sector and its strong social commitment.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, three digital banking simulators (mobile app, web, and ATM) were developed; these tools facilitated practical learning, extending the training beyond the workshops.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, testimonials from Madrid City Council volunteers and experiences from users were presented, highlighting stories of perseverance and adaptation to the digital world.
