AEB Foundation, UCI and Prodis Foundation have signed a pioneering agreement to promote financial education for people with disabilities in Spain, a decisive step in their firm commitment to social inclusion and equal opportunities.<\/p>\n
The agreement, which involves the transfer of the rights to the inclusive financial education programme developed by Prodis and UCI to AEB Foundation, reflects their strong commitment to bringing everyone the financial knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions in their daily lives.<\/p>\n
This agreement also aims, together with Plena Inclusi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1a, to adapt the training materials using the “easy-to-read” method, ensuring they are accessible and understandable for groups with cognitive, learning or reading comprehension difficulties.<\/p>\n
The transferred material will be used by AEB Foundation as part of its volunteering programme, focused on promoting comprehensive financial education. The programme aims to provide society, especially the most vulnerable groups, with useful tools for everyday life. <\/p>\n
With this alliance, AEB Foundation, UCI\u2014an organisation specialising in sustainable housing finance\u2014and Prodis reinforce their commitment to financial education as an essential tool for the autonomy and wellbeing of all people, regardless of their abilities, and for society as a whole.<\/p>\n
Alejandra Kindel\u00e1n, President of AEB and its foundation, stated that “it is essential for financial education to be understood, because it provides very useful knowledge for dealing with everyday challenges, for gaining autonomy, and it is fundamental for entering the labour market\u2014an objective shared by organisations and companies. Every employment contract is a victory”.<\/p>\n
Valle O\u00f1ate, Managing Director of Prodis Foundation, notes that “it is a source of pride to see how the work carried out by Prodis, together with UCI over the past two years, to bring finance closer to people with intellectual disabilities, can now be replicated across Spain through AEB Foundation.
