The Chairman of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n, and the Dean of the College of Economists of Madrid (CEMAD), Pascual Fern\u00e1ndez, have today signed a collaboration agreement for the development of activities of mutual interest for both institutions in areas such as auditing, taxation, accounting, and financial advisory services, among others.<\/p>\n
“We are convinced that there are many areas in which AEB and CEMAD can work together, thereby achieving greater efficiency in their respective fields of action for the benefit of our members,” said AEB Chairman, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n, during the signing ceremony.<\/p>\n
For his part, the Dean of CEMAD, Pascual Fern\u00e1ndez, stated that “the College of Economists is enthusiastically participating in this agreement, through which it hopes to leverage the significant human capital contributed by more than 8,000 associated economists to address the challenges posed by digital transformation.”<\/p>\n
To promote the development of this agreement, the two organizations will establish a Joint Commission tasked with both planning activities and events of common interest for their members, and subsequently monitoring and evaluating them. Each year, the Commission will prepare a report on the activities carried out, as well as a proposal for action for the following year. <\/p>\n
The Commission will be composed of Juan Carlos Delrieu and Jos\u00e9 Luis Mart\u00ednez Campuzano, representing the Spanish Banking Association, and Rafael Laso, representing the College of Economists of Madrid.<\/p>\n
Among the members of the two organizations are the banks associated with AEB, which represent more than 60% of the Spanish banking sector and employ nearly 400,000 people worldwide (87,768 in Spain), and the more than 8,000 professionals affiliated with the College of Economists who, in turn, interact with over 60,000 economists across Spain through the Registers of the General Council of Economists.<\/p>\n
