Still a difficult year but a bridge to recovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moving towards recovery, 2013 begins with an improvement in financial markets, as a result:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Of the significant clean-up and recapitalization of the Spanish banking system carried out in 2012.<\/li>\n<li>Of confidence in the ECB&#8217;s ability to preserve the continuity of the euro.<\/li>\n<li>Of the hope in the Banking Union and in the ECB leading the Single Supervisory Mechanism in the Eurozone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2013 has started better than 2012, but the situation remains complicated:<\/p>\n<p>a) We continue in a prolonged economic recession.<\/p>\n<p>b) Financial volatility remains a real threat.<\/p>\n<p>c) The level of uncertainty is still high.<\/p>\n<p>d) We continue to suffer the effects of the fragmentation of the European financial market.<\/p>\n<p>e) The <em>spread<\/em> of Spanish ten-year debt relative to German debt fluctuates around 300 bps.<\/p>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/aebanca.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/00-201303201.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download the full results presentation<\/a><\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Evolution of the economic and financial environment and the first quarter 2013 income statement.
