What began as a financial storm in August 2007 has ended up pushing the global financial system to the brink of collapse and plunging the real economy of the most advanced countries into a deep recession.<\/p>\n

From a very early stage, the AEB did not shy away from the word crisis and described it as external, due to its origin, and alien, due to the financial instruments at its core, to the Spanish banking system.<\/p>\n
