Financial and digital education is a priority for the banking sector. Institutions have been working for many years to make economic concepts easier to understand and to help people make financial decisions with a higher level of information, thereby strengthening their financial well-being.

The banking sector has launched numerous training programmes aimed at its customers and the public at large, with the goal of improving financial education.

Banks’ Financial Education Indicators

These indicators have been calculated based on data provided by banking institutions for each of their financial education initiatives. These data come from their management systems and, for the most part, are audited.

In cases where this has not been possible, estimates have been used.

All data shown in the ‘cumulative’ column refer to aggregated values from 2001 to 2020 for each of the indicators.
